Aisha, 18, had her nose and ears cut off last year on orders from the Taliban......"

I don't often use the word "outraged! To me it is an overused word in the USA, and one that should only be used, on extreme occasion, to convey the ultimate in disgust, loathing and anger.
I am "outraged" to see the picture of Aisha on the front cover of Time. I am appalled, disgusted, angry and yes "outraged" to see what men, husbands (can you believe) and religion has done to this poor girl.
The people of America and indeed all "civilized" nations should rise up and reject this action, these people and the religions of the people who perpetrate these brutalities.
Why is this not front page news in the press and on TV. Thanks to Time for showing us, but why is not CNN, NBC, CBS, New York Times etc etc picking up this appalling story en mass and showing the collective "outrage" of decent people.
Why are the peace loving, non violent Muslims of this world, in particular the USA, nor protesting this and taking the lead against it
For, as Edmund Burke arguably once said:
"For evil to flourish, all that is needed is for good people to do nothing."
(With recognition and appreciation for the efforts and sacrifices being made by US and other Allied Forces trying to help the women, children and "good" people of Afghanistan and other oppressed countries)
