On automobile headlights - How to save energy - No 1

Millions of automobiles drive around all the time with headlights on. They can’t help it, the cars are set up that way.

But headlights use electricity
Electricity in an auto comes from the battery
The battery gets it electricity from the generator
The generator is powered by the auto engine
The engine uses gasoline for its power

We don’t need headlight on in broad daylight

Switching them off will save millions of barrels of oil a year
