Dear President Obama:
Congratulations on your Presidency so far, and good fortune on all your efforts to come.
May I offer two suggestions?
1. So that your speeches, announcement and policies receive the importance, presentation and impact that you wish them to have, please do not release details to the media before you present them to the public. I do not think it is appropriate that CNN should be able to tell us before hand what is in your “State of the Union” speech, for instance.
Likewise anyone who leaks this information prior to your presentation or speech should be terminated as untrustworthy.
2. In the interests of full disclosure all persons giving advice, giving opinion, or is a member of some governing body, company or organization should always give details of how they are personally related to the issue in hand.
As an example, someone who is speaking for or against a national health program should indicate, in the interests of full disclosure whether he or she has health insurance, and who pays for it.
If I can be of any help please do let me know
Sincerely
Peter D. Revers
