It’s been at least six month since I last blogged and the world has turned and the main topic of conversation globally is Global Warming – to the extent that some reports and commentaries are alarmist.
One startling omission that no one is talking about is the root cause of all these tribulations, and this cause is “Overpopulation”
The plain fact is that the Earth just cannot sustain its current population, and certainly will not if something is not done to intelligently control population growth, if not a reduction.
It is, I think, fairly obvious that if the world’s population was less than what it is, then these problems would not exist, or at least would be significantly reduced. Overpopulation also contributes to Malnutrition, Disease, Violence and I suspect many other problems.
How the civilized world can begin to control population growth is hard to tell, but I suspect that continued unfettered growth will be the demise of Human Kind as we know it and believe it should be.
Peter, you are correct. Global warming is not the problem, but merely one of many symptoms of the problem of human overpopulation. At the root of virtually any problem, including global warming, if you look hard enough, you will find human overpopulation.
